When we give our lives to God and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we get given this amazing gift in the Holy Spirit. He is almost our “welcome to the family of God” gift. The bible calls Him the seal guaranteeing our eternal inheritance with God. But in order for our faith to become alive and active in our lives we need the Holy Spirit to be activated so to speak. And all we need to do is ask God to do that for us. It is called baptism in the Holy Spirit. But it is not a one time thing. The amazing and exhilarating thing is that we can continually receive the Holy Spirit so that He are always our strength, guidance, comfort and help, among other things. It is truly amazing.
