Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

ACC Editor News

The Church Trustees and Leadership Team have made the decision that we will be closing ACC for all services and activities (including small groups & home groups) except our Foodbank.

We will be monitoring even our Foodbank ministry very carefully and hopefully can continue to offer this service to the public including many vulnerable people. But even this service is dependent on getting volunteers to help and adhering to strict guidelines for passing on and receiving food items. We will not be serving sandwiches, tea/ coffee and other food items, so basically the Care & Share element will not take place.

Regarding Sunday Services, we are looking into the possibility of offering something online – a recorded sermon, MP3s of worship material, intercessory prayer and perhaps expanding our Prayer Web. We will notify each of you once we have that available.

However, we still need to care for one another and to each look out for the most vulnerable and at-risk within the church family. So if you are aware of anyone who needs some shopping, a hot meal made and delivered, or needs to get to an appointment, can you notify Don Palmer or any member of the leadership team and we will try to coordinate whatever support we can offer.

We will be notifying all of the outside rental groups this morning as well, and none of them will be able to use the facility until further notice.

The current situation is the most extreme crisis that most of us have ever faced in our lifetime and we believe we need to follow the government’s instructions responsibly.

We will, of course, notify you all when the situation changes and it is safe for any form of social gatherings to take place.
