Today we hear all about WHY Jesus died for us, with some adventurous table climbing!
Why did Jesus die? Jesus dying on the cross can seem so brutal and pointless, and crucifixion as a means of execution is very brutal. In Alpha Episode 3 we learn why Jesus suffered and died. God, our creator, loves us so much. Unfortunately though something called sin (the things we do wrong) creates a great big hole between us and God. A hole that is not big enough for us to cross. God’s desire to have humanity be close to Him again is so strong that He(Jesus) came to close the gap between us and God. By dying on the cross Jesus took the uncleanness of our sin on Himself so that when God sees us, He sees us through Jesus’ sacrifice. Making us completely sinless in His sight.
